THOMAS DI FRANCESCO
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Tom di Francesco is responsible for all property accounting, investor reporting and tax management functions for The Matteson Companies. Prior to joining The Matteson Companies in May of 2000, he served as Controller/Asset Manager for the Swig Company in San Francisco, a real estate developer and manager of the Fairmont Hotel Group as well as commercial office properties located primarily in California and New York.
Mr. di Francesco is a Certified Public Accountant with nearly two decades of experience in real estate accounting. He began his career in public accounting with Laventhol & Horwath, where he spent six years in the audit division and obtained his CPA. From 1988 - 1993, Mr. di Francesco served as Controller for Rockefeller & Associates Realty, L.P., a real estate investment firm owned by the Rockefeller family managing a portfolio of office, residential and mixed-use projects throughout the United States. Prior to joining the Swig Company, Mr. di Francesco worked as a financial consultant for The Burad Company in San Francisco, where he advised clients including AMB Institutional Realty Advisors, Meridian Point Properties (a publicly traded REIT), Bank of America, and First Nationwide Bank. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from California State University in Hayward.
