JOHN R. BELLACK

John R. Bellack is the President of JB Matteson, Inc. and has primary responsibility for leading the activities of the institutional investment enterprise. Mr. Bellack has 22 years experience in institutional real estate investments, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development. He has spent the last 17 years as an acquisition officer and acquisitions department manager for pension fund advisors. He has invested over $2 billion into all types of real estate under both core and value-added strategies. Prior to founding JB Matteson in 2006, he was a Partner at INVESCO Real Estate, where he was responsible for investments in the western U.S. and for managing INVESCO's west coast office. Prior to joining INVESCO in 1997, Mr. Bellack was the Director of Acquisitions for PMRealty Advisors, where he was responsible for managing a national acquisitions department. Mr. Bellack was previously Vice President of Acquisitions in RREEF's San Francisco office, and has held positions with Trammell Crow Company in Los Angeles and Morgan Stanley Realty in New York.
Mr. Bellack served as President of the Belden Real Estate Club (2004-5), Board Member of the Real Estate Investment Advisory Counsel (2000), Steering Committee Member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (1994), and is currently a member of NAIOP and ULI. He has maintained a California Broker's license since 1990. Mr. Bellack holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Yale University, where he graduated cum laude and with Distinction in Economics. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.
